How to sign up for Bybit, with referral code (checked November 2026)

Signing up for Bybit takes five minutes: pick your country, enter an email, enter the referral code, confirm the verification code, set a password. The referral code has to go in before you tap Sign Up and can't be changed afterwards. If you forget, you can add it once within 14 days on the account page. After signing up, do two things first: set up Google Authenticator and verify your identity.

1. Two things to know before you sign up

The referral code goes in before you tap Sign Up. Bybit’s help page is firm about it: once the account exists you can’t add, change or delete a referral code. Open the sign-up page through the “Register” link above and the code is filled in for you.

Bybit doesn’t serve the United States, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Syria, Crimea and a few other regions. Vietnam, Nigeria and Pakistan are not on that list. The country you pick at sign-up decides which products you can use, so pick where you actually live.

2. Sign up in five steps

  1. Open the sign-up page. Install the Bybit app or use the website, where Sign Up is in the top right corner.
  2. Pick your country of residence. Pick the wrong one and identity verification gets stuck later, and changing it means extra checks.
  3. Enter an email. Bybit recommends email sign-up because withdrawals require both email verification and Google Authenticator. Use an address you’ll keep for years, like Gmail, iCloud or ProtonMail, not a throwaway. A phone number also works, dropping the leading zero, and you can sign in with a Google, Apple or Telegram account instead. One email or phone number can be linked to one account only.
  4. Enter the referral code. The sign-up page has a referral code field. Check that it holds the code above.
  5. Pass the captcha, enter the verification code sent to your email or phone, set a password. Done.

3. Two things to do right after signing up

First, set up Google Authenticator. Bind it on the Account and Security page. Withdrawals require it. Changing your password or email triggers a 24-hour withdrawal hold, so do all the security settings on day one rather than when you need to withdraw.

4. What if I forgot the referral code

In June 2026 Bybit opened one loophole. Within 14 days of signing up, the Account Info section of the account page shows a “Join an Affiliate’s Community” entry where you can add an affiliate code once. The conditions are a main account, no code of any kind already attached, and not an institutional account. Once added it can’t be changed either. This site’s code is an affiliate code, so it can be added this way. Referral codes from ordinary users can’t.

After 14 days there is no way, and Bybit support can’t change it.

5. What the referral code gives you

Bybit’s referral code isn’t a fee rebate. It’s new-user task rewards. After signing up with the code, the Rewards Hub shows tasks like a first deposit and a first trade, and you claim each reward as you complete each task, paid to your account as USDT or trial funds. The tasks and amounts change often, so whatever your app’s Rewards Hub shows is what counts. Rewards go through a 3-day review before they’re credited, and once issued they must be claimed within 10 days or they expire. Claiming requires standard identity verification first.

Can I sign up without a referral code?
Yes, the field can be left blank. The difference is no new-user task rewards.
My country isn't in the phone number list on the sign-up page. What now?
Sign up with email. As long as you aren’t in a region on Bybit’s service restricted list, email sign-up works.
Can I open two accounts?
No. One person can have only one identity-verified account, and the system rejects a second account with the same ID. For multiple accounts use the subaccount feature.
Where do I download the app?
iOS from the App Store, Android from Google Play or the APK on the official site. The app stores in Vietnam, Nigeria and Pakistan all carry it. Don’t install packages from third-party sites.
