Depositing on Bybit: P2P, dong bank transfer, on-chain, bank card (checked November 2026)
There are four ways to fund Bybit. Vietnamese dong can be sent by bank transfer straight into the account, up to 25,000,000 dong on the first transfer. Naira and rupees go through P2P, with no fee for the buyer. If you already hold USDT, deposit it on-chain and just pick the right network. Bank card is the fastest and the most expensive. After depositing, swap USDT to USDC, since real stocks take only USDC.
1. Which of the four routes
| Route | Who it suits | Fee | Arrival |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dong bank transfer | Vietnam users | See the deposit page | Minutes to hours |
| P2P | Vietnam, Nigeria and Pakistan | None from Bybit, 0 for the buyer | When the merchant releases, minutes |
| On-chain deposit | You already hold USDT elsewhere | Deposit is free, the sender pays the network fee | After chain confirmation |
| Bank card | In a hurry, small amount | The provider charges, shown at checkout | Instant |
Deposits only land in the funding account. Before buying stocks, transfer the money to the Unified Trading Account and swap USDT to USDC.
2. By country
Vietnam
Bybit takes direct dong deposits, the only one of the three that does. On the app home page open More, choose Fiat Deposit, pick VND and bank transfer, and transfer to the account shown. The official help page gives the limits: up to 25,000,000 dong on the first transfer, 50,000,000 each on the second and third, then whatever the input box shows. The sending account must be in your own name. Once it lands, swap the dong to USDC in the app.
P2P works too. The main payment methods are Napas bank transfer and VietQR, and some merchants take MoMo and ZaloPay. Dong isn’t on Bybit’s list of P2P currencies with fees, so neither side pays.
Nigeria
Use P2P. Payment is by bank transfer, and some merchants take OPay and PalmPay. Naira is one of the few P2P currencies Bybit charges on, but the fee falls on merchants posting buy ads, 0.3% for general merchants, and the buyer pays 0%.
One-Click Buy also offers NGN bank transfer, for USDT and USDC only, and the payment channel may ask you to verify your ID card again.
Pakistan
Use P2P. Payment is by Easypaisa, JazzCash and bank transfer. Rupees aren’t on the fee list, so neither side pays. There are fewer ads than on Binance, enough for small amounts. For a large purchase, buy on Binance P2P and withdraw to Bybit.
3. How P2P works
- Complete Standard identity verification first. P2P doesn’t work without it.
- On the app home page tap Buy Crypto, then P2P Trading. Set the fiat to your currency and the coin to USDT. You can filter by payment method.
- Check the merchant: the number of orders in 30 days and the completion rate. Pick one with many orders and a completion rate above 98%. The price column is the merchant’s quote and the limits column is the minimum and maximum per order. A merchant marked “verification required” will ask for a face scan or ID upload first. If you’d rather not, pick another.
- Tap Buy USDT, enter the fiat amount to pay or the USDT amount to receive, and place the order.
- The page shows the merchant’s receiving account and a countdown. Pay from an account in your own name, check that the payee name matches the page, and put only the order number in the reference, not USDT, crypto or similar words, which some banks block. When done tap Paid.
- The merchant releases and the USDT lands in your funding account. If the merchant hasn’t released after 10 minutes, tap Need Help to appeal, and support handles it in the chat box. Don’t cancel the order until you’ve received a refund.
The risk in P2P isn’t Bybit, it’s your bank account. Section 4 of each country page has five rules. The core: trade only inside the platform, your own account, only the order number in the reference, a dedicated account, keep screenshots.
4. On-chain deposits
If you already hold USDT on another exchange or in a wallet, send it over.
- In the app open Assets, tap Deposit, choose USDT.
- Pick the network. For USDT the common ones are TRC20, BEP20, Solana and TON, all with low fees. The sending side and the deposit side must use the same network. Pick the wrong one and the coins are lost, and Bybit won’t recover them.
- Copy the address, enter the address and network on the sending side, send.
- Wait for chain confirmation and it lands in the funding account. On the deposit page you can change the default destination to the Unified Trading Account and skip a transfer.
Each coin on each chain has a minimum deposit. Below it, nothing is credited or refunded, and the deposit page states it. Deposits are free.
5. Buying with a bank card
On the home page tap Buy Crypto, choose One-Click Buy, set the payment method to bank card. Visa and Mastercard are supported. The first time you add the card and a billing address, which must match the card’s registered address, and the cardholder name must match your verified name. Your bank’s 3D Secure check may pop up. It arrives in seconds.
The fee is charged by the payment provider and varies by region and card type. The checkout page shows the actual rate and exchange rate, refreshed every 30 seconds. It’s usually a good deal dearer than P2P, fine for a few dozen dollars to test, not for large amounts.
6. After depositing: swap to USDC
Bybit real stocks take only USDC. First “Transfer” the USDT from the funding account to the Unified Trading Account, then swap it to USDC with Convert or on the USDC/USDT spot pair. xStocks and derivatives use USDT, so no swap needed.
